Speed/Range Data Message Format 

Speed and range data downloaded in 20-20 Mode has the following 
general format: 

speed, range <CR><LF> 

 

Speed 

The speed measurement. Legal values are 000 to 
199 MPH (000 to 320 KmH). If the target was 
departing when the measurement was taken, the 
number will be preceded by a minus sign. 

Range 

The range measurement. Legal values are 0000.0 to 
9999.9 (unsigned). 

<CR><LF> 

A carriage return/line feed.

There are no units indicators. The values are in the 
instrument’s default units. 

•

 

If a measurement error occurs, the speed and range 
values are replaced by an error code in the form Exx, 
where xx is the error code. For more information about 
Error Codes, see page 22.
