3-3.3

Install one disc adjust frame weldment

on the main frame and one on the wing us-

ing the disc adjust frame pins, 3/8 x 3 cotter

pins, and flat washers supplied with the disc

adjust frame weldments. The angle on the

disc adjust frame should be to the rear

(See

Figure 3-4)

.

3-3.4

Assemble the 4 X 8 master cylinder to

the disc adjust frame weldment on the main

frame, base end to the frame and rod end to

top hole of disc adjust frame weldment. Use

disc adjust cylinder pin, 1/4 x 2-1/2 cotter

pins, and flat washers supplied with disc ad-

just frame weldment for rod end of cylinder.

3-3.5

Assemble the 3-3/4 x 8 slave cylinder

to the disc adjust frame weldment on the

wing, base end to the wing and rod end to

top hole of disc adjust frame weldment. Use

disc adjust cylinder pin, 1/4 x 2-1/2 cotter

pins, and flat washers supplied with disc ad-

just frame weldment for rod end of cylinder.

3-3.6

Install the two front (short) disc adjust

radius rods between the center hole of disc

adjust frame weldments and the front disc

gangs. Use disc adjust frame pins, flat wash-

ers, and 3/8 x 3 cotter pins to attach radius

rods to disc adjust frame weldments. Attach

front of radius rods to front disc gangs and

depth gauge assembly using 1-1/4-7 x 4-1/2

hex head cap screws and hex lock nuts.

IMPORTANT

PIN ON TRUSS ROD END MUST POINT TO-

WARD CYLINDER.

3-3.7

Attach radius rod wrench weldment to

front radius rod weldment and truss rod end.

Use quick hitch pin to hold in place on truss

rod end.

Note: The radius rod wrench weldment is used

for adjusting the radius rods and also acts as a

lock to hold front radius rods in place.

3-3.8

Unbolt 1/2-13 x 6-1/2 hex head cap

screw and slip depth gauge assembly over

the frame tube that runs front to back along

side the right front disc gang arm. Reattach

the 1/2-13 x 6-1/2 hex head cap screw and

hex lock nut. Adjust the gauge so that the

1-1/2 square tube at the front of the frame

acts as a pointer as the gauge rotates with

the disc movement.

3-3.9

Install the longest disc adjust radius rod

between the disc adjust frame weldment and

the rear disc gang on the wing. Use 1-1/4-7

x 4-1/2 hex head cap screws and hex lock

nuts to attach to disc gangs and pins pro-

vided with disc adjust frame.

IMPORTANT

INSTALL WASHERS BETWEEN THE FRONT

AND REAR RADIUS RODS TO HOLD THE

FRONT RODS OVER SO THEY WILL CLEAR

THE HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS.

3-3.10

Install the remaining disc adjust radius

rod between the disc adjust frame weldment

and the rear disc gang on the frame. Use

1-1/4-7 x 4-1/2 hex head cap screws and

hex lock nuts to attach to disc gangs and

pins provided with disc adjust frame.
