• With some food (e.g. chips and similar items), we advise mixing
the food around from time to time to obtain an even cooking
result.
Programmes
To make it easier to operate, the device features 6 programmes
which each have a preset cooking time and temperature:

The times and temperatures which are set for the pro
grammes are merely suggestions. Manually adjust them if
necessary to ensure that the food (in particular poultry) is
fully cooked through.
Removing the Basket Insert
1. Pull the drawer (

) out of the cooking chamber (

) and place it
down.
2. Slide the transparent cover off the release button (
4
) on the
handle (

).
3. Press the release button and lift out the basket insert (
2
) of the
drawer.
Inserting the Basket Insert
1. Place the basket insert (
2
) inside the drawer (
3
) and press it
down until you hear it engage in place.
2. Slide the cover over the release button (
4
).
3. Slide the drawer as far as it will go into the cooking cham
ber (
7
).
Preparing Food
1. Unwind the connecting cable and insert the mains plug into a
plug socket.
The control panel (

) is activated and the field (

) lights up.
2. Place the food that is to be prepared in the basket insert (

) .
3. Insert the basket insert into the drawer (
3
).
4. Slide the drawer as far as it will go into the cooking cham
ber (
7
).
5. Touch the field to activate the rest of the fields on the con
trol panel.
6. Either set the cooking time and temperature manually or select
one of the 6 programmes (see the “Programmes” section):

To set the cooking temperature manually, touch the field
(Temp) (

), and to set the cooking

To select a programme, touch the corresponding programme

). The cooking time and temperature can be manually
adjusted if necessary.

To scroll through the values quickly, leave your finger on
the respective field.
7. Touch the field to start the cooking process.
8. If you want to interrupt the cooking process (e.g. to mix around
the ingredients), pull the drawer out a little. Once the drawer
is slid back into the cooking chamber, the cooking process
resumes.
After the set cooking time elapses, the device switches off auto
matically. The fan continues to run for about 30 seconds longer
until all displays, apart from the field , go out.

9. Pull the drawer out of the cooking chamber by the handle (

and place it down on a heatresistant surface.
10. Take the basket insert out of the drawer and serve the food.
Never tip out the basket insert together with the drawer!
Oil or liquid could have collected on the bottom of the drawer
and could cause scalding if it ran out.
11. Pull the mains plug out of the plug socket.
12. Allow the basket insert and the drawer to cool down and then
clean them (see the “Cleaning and Storage” chapter).
CLEANING AND STORAGE
PLEASE NOTE!

The drawer and the basket insert are
not
dishwashersafe.
■
Do not use any sharp or abrasive cleaning agents or cleaning
pads. They may damage the surfaces.
Clean the drawer (
3
), the basket insert (
2
) and if necessary the
cooking chamber (
7
) after every use to prevent the formation of
germs and to prevent food residues from burning on. Do not allow
any food residues to dry on.
• Rinse the basket insert and the drawer with detergent and
warm water. Soak any burnt residues in warm water with a little
detergent first.
• If the cooking chamber (
7
) and the heating element are dirty,
wipe them down with a damp cloth and use a little detergent if
necessary.
• Allow all parts to dry completely or dry them.
• If you will not be using them for a little while, store the barbe
cue with the hot air frying machine and all accessories protect
ed from the weather in a clean, dry place that is not accessible
to children and animals. We recommend that you cover the
barbecue with a weatherproof cover.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If the device does not work properly, check whether you are able to
rectify the problem yourself. If the problem cannot be solved with
the steps below, contact the customer service department.
Do not attempt to repair an electrical device yourself!
The device does not work.
The mains plug is not inserted correctly in the plug socket.

Correct the fit of the mains plug.
The plug socket is defective.
►
Try another plug socket.
There is no mains voltage.
►
Check the fuse of the mains connection.
The drawer (
3
) and the basket insert (
2
) are not fitted correctly in
the cooking chamber (
7
).
►
The drawer with the basket insert must be pushed all the way
into the cooking chamber for the device to switch on.
The overheating protection has been triggered.
►
Pull the mains plug out of the plug socket and allow the device
to cool down fully. Then try again.
