BEFORE INITIAL USE
1. Pull the drawer (
3
) out of the cooking chamber (
7
) and place it
down.
2. Take out the basket insert (
2
) as follows: Slide the transparent
cover off the release button (
4
), press it and lift out the basket
insert.
3. Rinse the drawer and the basket insert with detergent and
warm water. Then dry them both thoroughly.
4. The device should be used for the first time without any food
in it as it may produce some smoke or odours due to coating
residues.
Allow the device to heat up on the highest temperature setting
for approx. 15 minutes without any food in it. To do this, follow
the instructions in the “Use” chapter.
5. Then clean the basket insert and the drawer once more.
USE
PLEASE NOTE!!
■
Prior to using it, make sure that the device (including the con
necting cable) is undamaged.
■
Only connect the device to a plug socket that is properly in
stalled and matches the technical data of the device. The plug
socket must also be readily accessible after connection so that
the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated.
■
Unwind the connecting cable fully before connecting up the
device.
■
The food is prepared in the drawer with the basket insert. Both
must be inserted in the cooking chamber to allow the device to
start operating.
■
Do
not
leave the device switched on for a prolonged period
when it is empty. One exception is the first time it is operated
without any food in it (see the “Before Initial Use” chapter).
■
Do not place food that is still wrapped in cling film or in plastic
bags in the device.
■
Make sure that the food does not come into contact with the
heating element of the device.
■
Fill the basket insert no more than
⅔
full so that the hot air can
circulate optimally.
■
If smoke rises from the device, pull out the mains plug immedi

food in it (see the “Before Initial Use” chapter).
■
Always place the drawer down on a stable surface before you
press the release button of the basket insert.
■
After you have used them, always place the hot drawer and the
hot basket insert down on a heatresistant surface.
This device works with hot air.
It is not a conventional fryer in
which food is deep-fried using lots of oil!
In general, you can
prepare all dishes that can also be prepared in a conventional fan
oven.
L
A FEW TIPS TO START WITH:
• Generally no oil or only a small amount of oil is required for pre
paring food. You can add oil to your food to enhance the taste
by spraying your food with a little oil from the oil atomiser.
• The cooking time is dependent on the size and quantity of the
food and on the cooking temperature. In general, the cooking
time is shorter than in a conventional oven. Start with a shorter
cooking time and gradually adjust the cooking time to suit your
personal taste.
• When preparing massproduced frozen products, you should
follow the times and temperatures specified by the manufactur
er. However, before the specified cooking time elapses, check
