11.7.3 24-hour lock out
If the user again attempts to enter a code after the end of the second lock out period, the P450 IHEM
will enter a period where 3 final attempts to enter the correct code will be allowed during a 24-hour
time frame before the final lock out mechanism is applied.
Once the 3 further failed attempts have been performed the P450 IHEM will disable access to the
code entry screen for 24 hours.

At the end of the 24-hour period the lock out mechanism is reset and will again operate as defined in
examples 1, 2 and 3 again.

NB: To mitigate any potential over use of the lock out mechanism the P450 IHEM will
automatically lock out the user for 24 hours after 10 failed attempts in any one day are
registered in the P450 IHEM.
11.8 Emergency credit
