Section 1: Assembly & Set-up

RCF2060 and RCF2072 Rotary Cutters   326-459M

Table of Contents

14. Install second machine washer (#15) on pivot shaft of 

tailwheel (#5) and secure with roll pin (#17).

NOTE:  

After assembly of hitch and tailwheel, push 

on top of A-frame assembly (#2). It should rotate 
backward and floating top link (#19) should rotate 
upward. If they are too stiff to rotate, loosen nuts 
(#11) until they will rotate freely.

Attach tailwheel A-frame (#1) to adjusting bracket 
with 5/8"-11 x 1 1/2" carriage bolt (#10) and 5/8" top 
lock nut (#13). Tighten locknut to the correct torque.

9.

Rotate A-frame/floating top hitch (#2 & #19) up and 
rotate left rear brace (#3) up until holes in rear 
braces (#3) align with hole in floating top hitch (#19).

10. Insert 3/4"-10 x 4" GR5 bolt (#8) into the left rear 

brace (#3), floating top hitch (#19), and right rear 
brace (#3).

11. Secure bolt (#8) with hex flange lock nut (#11). Draw 

lock nut (#11) up snug and then back off 1/4 turn.

12. Install one machine washer (#15) on pivot shaft of 

tailwheel (#5).

13. Insert tailwheel pivot shaft (#5) into tailwheel 

A-frame (#1).

IMPORTANT: 

See Detail A in Figure 1-2. Floating 

top hitch (#19) must be installed with ears (#20) 
above rear brace bars (#3).
