Optional Rear Guards

DANGER
Do not operator cutter without a rear guard. Do not remove
rear guard unless it is replaced by an approved Land Pride
guard. Serious body injury or loss of life can result without an
attached rear guard.
Remove Rear Metal Band Deflector
Refer to Figure 1-5:
A metal band deflector is supplied standard with the
cutter and must be removed before the optional Rear
Single Chain Guard can be installed.
1.
Remove 1/2" whiz nuts (#3) and carriage bolts (#2).
2.
Remove Rear Metal Band Deflector (#1).
3.
Reattach whiz nuts (#3) and carriage bolts (#2) to
metal band deflector (#1) for safe keeping.
4.
Store Rear Metal Band Deflector with hardware for
future use when not using chain guard.
Rear Single Chain Guard
Refer to Figure 1-6:
1.
Remove Rear Metal Band Deflector following the
above instructions.
2.
Install rear chain guard (#2) with four 1/2"-13 x 1"
GR5 carriage bolts (#3) and hex whiz nuts (#5).
Draw whiz nuts up snug, do not tighten at this time.
3.
Install 1/2"-13 x 3 1/2" GR5 carriage bolts (#4),
deflector spacers (#5) and hex whiz nuts (#5). Draw
whiz nuts up snug.
4.
Tighten all whiz nuts (#5) to the correct torque.
Replaceable Skid Shoes (Accessory)
Refer to Figure 1-7:

Skid Shoe Kit
(Includes 2 skid shoes & mounting hardware)
Replaceable skid shoes can be purchased from your
nearest Land Pride dealer. They bolt to the weld-on skid
shoes and help protect weld-on skid shoes and side
skirts from wear.
1.
Attach skid shoes (#1) to weld-on skid shoes with
3/8"-16 x 1" GR5 plow bolt (#2) and whiz nuts (#3).
2.
Tighten whiz nuts to the correct torque.
