Fuel tank cap
The fuel cap is located under the seat.
Remove the fuel tank cap (1)
Turn the fuel tank cap counterclockwi -
se. Now you can remove the fuel tank
cap.
Install the fuel tank cap
Push the fuel tank cap into position.
Turn the cap clockwise to the original
position.

CAUTION
Make sure that the fuel tank cap is pro -
perly closed and locked before riding.
Fuel
Make sure that there is sufficient fuel in
the tank. Fill the fuel tank to the bottom
of the filler tube as shown.

WARNING
• Do not overfill the fuel tank, other -
wise it may overflow when the fuel
warms up and expands.
• Avoid spilling fuel on the hot engi-
ne.
CAUTION
Immediately wipe off spilled fuel with
a clean, dry, soft cloth, since fuel may
damage the painted surfaces or plastic
parts.
Regular unleaded gasoline only.
Recommended fuel: 95 oct
!!CAUTION!!
BIOETHANOL E10 IS NOT
SUITABLE
Catalytic converter
This model is equipped with a catalytic
converter in the exhaust system.
!
WARNING
The exhaust system is hot after opera-
tion. Make sure that the exhaust sys-
tem has cooled down before doing any
maintenance work.
CAUTION
The following precautions must be ob -
served to prevent a fire hazard or other
damages.
• Use only unleaded gasoline. The
use of leaded gasoline will cause
unrepairable damage to the cata -
lytic converter.
• Never park the vehicle near possi-
ble fire hazards such as grass or
other materials that easily burn.
• Do not allow the engine to idle too
long.
