STEAM SHOT
• If you require an extra burst of steam to help smooth out stubborn creases and
wrinkles, great for denim and linen.
• Lift the iron slightly above the fabric surface and press the steam shot button firmly.
You may need to press the trigger a few times at first, to pump water through the
system.
• Select the ‘MAX’ steam rate by the steam toggle button, then quickly press the steam
trigger twice within 1 second to produce shot of steam.
• The shot of steam will keep releasing for approximately 2 seconds, a shot of steam
will penetrate deep into the fibres.
• During this process the ‘MAX’ steam rate indicator will be fully illuminated blue.
Repeat the above operation if need to produce shot of steam again.
VERTICAL STEAM SHOT
• You can use the steam shot button when the iron is vertical. It is great for taking
creases out of curtains and garments on hangers. Follow the instructions in ‘Steam
Shot’, holding the iron upright 15 to 30cm away from the fabric to avoid scorching.
WARNING
: Ensure the iron is pointed away from you and other people when
using the steam shot button. Never iron clothes whilst they are being worn. Keep
your fingers at a safe distance from the tip of the soleplate to avoid burning. You
do not get a continuous flow of steam on this setting, it is a powerful burst of
very hot steam which can burn.
AUTO SHUT-OFF
• The iron will automatically switch off when there has been no operation and it is still
switched on at the plug. This is a safety feature.
• The iron will switch off automatically after 10 minutes.
• To restart the appliance press the ON/OFF button.
SWITCHING OFF
• When you have finished ironing, place the iron on the thermal insulation stand, turn
the appliance off with the ON/OFF button, then turn off at the socket and unplug.
Leave the iron to cool down completely.
• After every use, empty the water tank.
• Always store the iron in a safe, dry place, with the tank empty and soleplate cooled.
