CARE AND CLEANING
1. Switch off and unplug the iron, and let it cool completely before cleaning.
2. Clean thoroughly before using for the first time and after every use.
3. Check the parts for wear or damage after every few uses.
4. Certain fabric finishes may leave a residue on the soleplate, which can affect the
performance and lead to ‘drag’ when ironing. This coating may be removed by
wiping the soleplate with a textured cloth. Dry with a soft cloth.
5. DO NOT
use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads or wire wool to clean the soleplate.
6. To clean the steam holes, take a damp cloth and wipe away any build-up around the
holes.
7. Take care not to damage or scratch the soleplate by allowing it to come into contact
with metal objects such as zips.
8. Never use sharp or rough objects to remove the deposits on the soleplate.
9. The outside of the iron can be wiped with a clean damp cloth, dry thoroughly before
storing.
10. Never immerse the iron in water or any other liquid.
11. Never put vinegar or other descaling agents into the water tank.
12. Empty the water tank and water reservoir.
13. Remove the water tank and empty over the sink, upend the base unit and put it on a
flat surface.
14. Then turn the knob anticlockwise at the bottom of base unit to remove it, clean by
running under the tap.
WARNING:
To avoid a risk of scalding, make sure the appliance has cooled down
completely before removing the knob.
15. When the appliance is not used for a long time, empty the water in the reservoir,
turnthe temperature dial to the minimum setting and store the steam supply hose
and power cord at the cord clips, then put the appliance at a place out of the reach
of children.
