Port 1a:
This is the Port No. used by the primary server to accept the
access from device. For
aws.www.locationnow.com
, it should
be ‘1688’.
Static IP 1:
This is the static IP address of primary server. When device is
not able to access primary server by means of domain name,
this IP address will be used by device.
Port 1:
Port No. combined with Static IP1 for communicating with device
ALTERNATIVE SERVER
This is back-up server which communicates with device
Domain Name 2a: This is the domain name of the back-up server.
Static IP 2:
This is the static IP address of back-up server. When device is
not able to access back-up server by means of domain name,
this IP address will be used by device.
Port 2:
Port No. combined with Static IP2 for communicating with device
Note:
As a rule, if both Domain Name 1a and Static IP 1 are set up, device will try to
communicate with primary server through its domain name first, static IP second.
If the tracking service platform is with the back-up server, when both Domain Name 1a and
Static IP 1 are inaccessible, devices will try Domain Name 2a first, Static IP 2 second.
It is not suggested to fill in Domain Name 1a and Domain Name 2a with Static IP address.
If user has enabled ‘Fall Back Mode’, when device is not able to communicate with both
primary server and secondary server, it will initiate its action of ‘Fall Back Mode’. Refer to
introduction to Fall Back Mode.
DNS SERVER
Specify the DNS server which supports domain name resolution
DNS IP 1:
In most of cases, keep it as 0.0.0.0
DNS IP 2:
In most of cases, keep it as 0.0.0.0
