4. Setting Up: Connecting USB Hard Drive
The LaCinema HD Connect can play files located either on net-
work sources (computers, network-attached storage, DLNA/UPnP
devices, etc.), or it can play files located on attached external USB
hard drive. This chapter will explain how to transfer files from your
computer to your external hard drive, then how to disconnect the
hard drive from your computer and connect it to the LaCinema HD
Connect for playback on your TV (

4.1. About External USB Hard Drives
4.1.1. Compatibility
In addition to hard disks, you can also connect card readers, digital
cameras, or digital camcorders with USB Mass storage support.
Hard drives with the following file system formats are supported:
FAT32, NTFS, HFS+/Mac OS Extended (non-journaled), and Linux
file systems.
IMPORTANT INFO:
External USB hard drives formatted in HFS+
(journaled) are not compatible.
