4. Using Your LaCie Dupli Disc CD121 In Stand-Alone Mode
Once the initialization process has finished, your LaCie duplicator is in Copy mode.
Important Note:
The default settings for your LaCie Dupli Disc CD121 are
Maximum Speed
and
Copy Mode
.
Warning!
Always set your Speed and Mode before inserting a master and blank CD-R/RW into the drives. As soon
as discs are inserted, the LaCie Dupli Disc CD121 will beep five times and then start the operation that it is set.
Important Note: In order to cancel a duplication that is in progress, press and hold the Start button for five seconds.
Technical Information: Errors: If an error occurs during duplication, the Error LED will light and the LaCie Dupli Disc
CD121 will eject the disc with the default. Remove the problem disc and inspect it for defects, then replace it with a
new disc and close the tray. After a few seconds, the LaCie Dupli Disc CD121 will beep five times and then resume
the selected operation (the Error LED will remain lit until the operation resumes). If you want to change the mode or
speed after an error occurs, make the change before inserting new media, because by default, the LaCie Dupli Disc
CD121 will automatically restart the previous operation.
Your LaCie Dupli Disc CD121 operates in eight modes during stand-alone duplication:

4.5. Compare Mode
4.6. Erase Mode
4.7. Firmware Mode
4.8. Autoplay Mode
This section describes these eight modes and the various functions that allow you to duplicate CDs effortlessly and flawlessly.
4.1. Copy Mode
Use this function to copy a master disc onto a blank CD-R/CD-RW disc.
1) Turn on the LaCie Dupli Disc CD121.
2) After powering on, the LaCie Dupli Disc CD121 will run through its initialisation and self-test processes, and then enter
Copy Mode.
3) Insert a Master disc in the top tray, and a blank CD-R/CD-RW disc in the bottom tray.
