During this phase, open all the bleed valves of the radiators to prevent the formation of air sacks, checking the outlet of water to avoid
unpleasant floodings.
The watertight test of the installation is performed with the pressure of
expansion tank open
.
The installation must always be full of water even when the thermo-product is not used. During winter season the non use has
to be faced by adding antifreeze substances
.
3. FIRE-FIGHTING SAFETY MEASURES
When installing the appliance, the following safety measures must be respected:
a) In order to ensure sufficient thermal insulation, respect the minimum safety distance from objects or furnishing components flammable
and sensitive to heat (furniture, wood sheathings, fabrics. etc.) and from materials with flammable structure (see
A
).
All of the minimum safety distances are shown on the product data plate and lower values must not be used
.
b) must be no objects or inflammable construction or heat sensitive materials in front of the fireplace door, in the area of radiation,
nearer than
100 cm
. This distance can be reduced to 40 cm if a back-ventilated and heat resistant protection is installed, in front of
the entire component to be protected.
c) If the product is installed on a
non totally refractory
floor, one must foresee a fireproof background. The floors made of inflammable
material, such as moquette, parquet or cork etc.,
must be replaced
by a layer of no-inflammable material, for instance ceramic,
stone, glass or steel etc. (dimensions according to the local regulations). The platform must project frontally by at least
50 cm
and
laterally by at least
30 cm
beyond the opening of the loading door (see
B
).
d) no flammable components (e.g. wall units) must be present above the product
The fireplace must work exclusively with inserted ash drawer.
solid combustion residuals (ashes) must be collected in an air-tight and fire-resistant container. The device must never be switched on
when there are gaseous emissions vapors (for example glue for linoleum, gasoline etc.). Do not deposit flammable materials close to the
same.
Heat energy is released during combustion that leads to a marked heating of the surfaces, the door and the glass of the fireplace, the door
and control handles, the fumes pipe and eventually the font part of the appliance. Avoid contact with these elements without corresponding
protective clothing or without using tools (heat-resistant gloves, control devices).
Make sure that children are aware of these dangers and keep them away from the fireplace while functioning
The use of a wrong or wet fuel causes the formation of creosote deposits in the flue and will fuel a chimney fire.
3.1. FIRST-AID MEASURES
Should any fire arise in the stack or in the flue:
a) Close the feeding door.
b) Close the registers of combustion air
c) Extinguish the fire using carbon dioxide fire-fighting means (CO
2
dust).
d) Seek immediate intervention of FIRE BRIGADE.
DO NOT EXTINGUISH FIRE USING WATER JETS.
When the flue does not burn any more please arrange an examination by a specialist in order to find possible cracks and permeable points.
4. DESCRIPTION
Definition
: thermo-fireplace according to
EN 13240.
The appliance is composed of painted and galvanised sheet steel and cast iron.
The fireplace is found inside the boiler, is built in 4 mm thick steel and is reinforced using welded nails. The water in the heating system
circulates in the boiler, which absorbs the heat produced in the fireplace.
The ceramic glass window (resistant up to 700°C) of the door provides a lovely view of the burning flames and prevents sparks and smoke
from getting out.
Room heating takes place:
a) by radiation
: the heat is radiated into the environment through the panoramic window and the hot external surfaces of the thermo-
fireplace;
b) by conduction
: radiators or heat convectors of the centralised system fed by hot water produced by the boiler.

The device is equipped with registers of primary and secondary air.
1A- PRIMARY air register
Below the hearth door, on the front left side, there is the primary air register, in the style of lever (
- 1A).
With this air register, it is adjusted the passage of primary air into the low part of the stove and through particular channels flows in the
fuel direction. The primary air is necessary for the combustion process during lighting. The ash drawer must be regularly emptied, so
that the ash does not obstruct the entry of the primary air for the combustion.
In order to open the air flow, the bar must be completely pulled out. During wood combustion, the register of primary air must be opened

Below the hearth door, on the right front side there is the secondary air register (
The secondary air, passing through the two lateral jambs of the front side, heats itself starting the double combustion and keeping at
the same time the glass clean ( with open register).
