8. Mandatory Maintenance and Check-up Operations
These operations are in addition to the Maintenance and Periodic Cleaning Operations as specified in Chapter 7.
The following maintenance and check-up operations should be carried out by a qualified technician.
N.B. These periodic maintenance operations are not covered by warranty.

Replace group gaskets
▪
Replace diffuser screens
▪
Clean auto-fill probe
▪
Check vacuum breaker for
proper operation
▪
Inspect water inlet valve
▪
Inspect drain system for leaks
or clogs
▪
Check flow rate for each group
▪
Check brew temperature
▪
Check that brew pressure is
at 9 bar
▪
Check all switches for proper
operation
▪
Check/note water hardness
(Water quality must be within the
range of the parameters specified
in Installation chapter otherwise
warranty is voided)
For AV Model:
▪
Check shot volumes
▪
Test flowmeter’s ohm value
(which will be acceptable if
greater than 1.8 Kohm and less
than 2.2 Kohm)
▪
Replace portafilter baskets
▪
Inspect group valve plungers
▪
Inspect vacuum breaker
▪
Inspect steam boiler pressure switch
▪
Inspect contactor
▪
Replace over-pressure valve
▪
Accurate control of tightness, which must be equal to 2.4 Nm
for each cable on the terminal block.
▪
Check the condition of the inside of boilers and, if necessary, rinse out with a proper cleaning product allowed for food and beverage
appliances.
EVERY THREE/FOUR MONTHS
