Unpacking and checking your Kymera
Make sure you use the flush adapter to ensure that sufficient water is flowing through the system.
You should be able to see bubbles moving through the cooling lines via the rear hatch, indica=ng that water is flowing. If in doubt, take the
flush adapter off the side to allow air bubbles into the line, and then repeat. Water will exit the board via the jet nozzle at the rear.
Allow the water to flow through the lines for at least 30 seconds each side to ensure that any residual salt is cleared.
High pressure in the cooling lines due to blockage can result in the cooling lines burs=ng and water flooding the electronics housing or the
board. Running a board with a flooded electronics housing will cause permanent damage which is not covered under warranty.
This is REALLY IMPORTANT! I know I’m repeaTng myself, but if your cooling lines are not cleared ader use, especially in salt water, a
blockage will likely occur. If that blockage is inside the ebox’s cooling block, conTnuing to run the board may cause permanent
damage!
If your cooling lines are blocked, and no water is coming out of the outlets on both sides behind your elbows, you must NOT operate
the board! The pressure build-up caused by the jet pushing water through the cooling system can cause failure of the cooling system
inside the electronics housing, flooding it with water and damaging your board.

! Note the low water pressure used to flush
the cooling lines – all you want to do is gently push fresh water through the lines to replace any salt water.

Damage caused by failure to properly maintain your board will NOT be covered under warranty.
3. Hose down your board inside and out
If you have not already done so, remove the ba[ery and wipe down with a cloth before cleaning the board
Lie the board LEVEL on the ground, kayak stands or workhorses for cleaning to ensure you can easily access all board surfaces.
Hose the board down
inside and out
using a hose on shower seUng. Everything inside the board is waterproof, and hosing everything,
especially salt water, off all internal components aber use will keep your board in great condi=on.
Do not clean your whole board with a high pressure washer! This can result in water ingress into the electronics housing, the digital
thro[le, the waterproof glove box or another part of the board which is waterproof but not high-pressure hose proof.
If you have used the board in salt water, especially if any water has built up inside the board and got into the motor or the drive shab bearing,
it is par=cularly important to hose the motor and the drive shab really thoroughly with the hose on high/jet seUng. Salt and sand can make its
way into these components and seize them up if they are not cleaned thoroughly aber use.
We recommend spending 30 seconds hosing the board through the front hatch (focussing especially on the motor), 30 seconds through the
rear hatch (focussing especially on the motor and bearing), 30 seconds on the top of the board especially the trigger and other metallic
components and 30 seconds on the underside of the board, especially focussing on the impeller and jet assembly.

the cooling lines. All you want to do is gently push fresh water through the lines to push out any salt water and replace with fresh.

Storage
One of the great things about a Kymera is how easy it is to store. Pick a place to store your board either lying flat or standing on its tail (where
it won’t fall over).
1.
Ensure your board has been fully cleaned and flushed and the baFery is on charge, as above.
2.
Ensure your board is clear of water:
a.
Let most of the water drain out by leaving the board to stand on its tail for a few minutes (op=onal)
b.
Lay the board flat on the ground. Any remaining water will run forward to the lowest point under the baFery tray and electronics
housing
c.
Use a chamois to remove remaining water from under the baFery tray. When done, with the chamois siUng in the hollow below the
baFery tray, lib the nose slightly to drain any remaining water from under the electronics housing into the chamois. Repeat un=l the
water is gone. Make sure to leave the hatches open to vent un=l the inside is completely dry .
