Gearbox oil level
The procedure for checking the gearbox oil level varies according to
whether the gearbox is of the exchange speed or lever change type;
Do not exceed the prescribed levels
NOTE (NGS 301-401-451) The lubricant used in the gearbox (NGS 301-401-451) is synthetic
lubricant: do not use other types of oil [original oil (PAG) ISO VG
320 DIN 51502 PGLP]
Exchange speed gearbox
> Position the machine so that it is level.
> Unscrew the dipstick screw (12) (see figure)
> Check the oil level: the oil level should be up to the mark on the
dipstick
> If necessary, top up with gear oil using a funnel:
•
Mineral EP ISO VG 460 DIN 51517 TEIL 3 CLP --> NGH
•
Synthetic (PAG) ISO VG 320 DIN 51502 PGLP --> NGS
> Replace and tighten the dipstick screw
Lever change gearbox
> Position the machine so that it is level.
> Remove the oil level plug (13): the oil level should lap up against
the lower edge of the hole.
> If necessary, top up with gear oil using a funnel:
•
Synthetic (PAG) ISO VG 320 DIN 51502 PGLP --> NGS
> unscrew filler screw (14), top up the oil level, replace and tighten
the screw.
> Replace and tighten the level plug (13).
Working speed
The following table indicates the standard gearbox speeds as set in the
factory. In normal conditions, these speeds will provide optimum working
results. We generally recommend using a Pto speed of 1000 rpm, as
using less torque will lead to a longer working life for the drive shaft.
