5.2 Touch Screen Operation
Control objects on the touch screen are operated by applying a slight but no-
ticeable pressure on them with your finger or the touch stylus.
Always touch a single on-screen control object at a time. You may otherwise
start unintended actions
CAUTION
Touch screen operating errors
A touch screen does not exclude the possibility of operating errors which
may cause personal injury or damage to the machine or facility.
Take the following precautions:
•
Do not use the touch screen to run functions relevant to safety.
•
Touch the screen with a suitable touch stylus only.
•
Periodically calibrate the touch screen.
•
Turn the unit off for cleaning and maintenance.
CAUTION
Damage to touch screen
Do not us pointed or sharp objects to operate the touch screen. Avoid sud-
den or impact-like contact by hard objects. Both may significantly reduce
touch screen life or provoke its complete failure.
Touch the screen of Ventury Vico with your finger or the stylus only.
Under extreme ambient conditions such as high humidity and temperature,
the touch screen surface may sometimes develop some blistering. This is a
purely optical effect and no functional constraint.
