17. Do not pull on the cable to move the device. Lift the device and place

it in the desired location. Do not carry or move the appliance as
long as it is in operation and as long as it is hot. Pull the plug from
the socket and allow the appliance to cool down completely.

18. Pull out the power plug after each use and in case of:

– the appliance not being under your direct supervision
– malfunctions during operation
– each cleaning

Do not pull on the power cord, but on the plug itself!

19. After use, clean all parts which have come into contact with food as

described under chapter “Cleaning and care”.

20. Never submerge the device, the cord, or the plug in water or other

liquids. Do not clean in the dishwasher.

21. Never use the device if you discover damage, if water has entered

the housing, or if the device has fallen down.

22. Check the power cord before every use for damage. If the power

cord is damaged, it must immediately be replaced. This may only
be arranged by the manufacturer, his customer service or a similarly
qualified and authorized specialist.

23. Never attempt to open or repair the appliance yourself. In the event

of a malfunction, have the appliance repaired by qualified experts
only! Contact your authorized dealer whenever the appliance is in
need of repairs.

24. Use original accessories only.

Before the first use

· Start by carefully reading the instructions for use and the safety instructions.
· First, remove all packaging materials.

· Wipe the housing with a soft cloth, slightly damp, if necessary. Afterwards

dry off thoroughly.

· Clean the cold stone with warm water and a sponge. Do not use

dishwashing detergent.

· You can clean the pans with hot water and some mild dishwashing

detergent. Thoroughly dry all parts.

· Prepare the stone as described in „Care instructions for the stone“, then

place it on top of the raclette device with the juice groove facing
upwards. Ensure that it lies safely in the support.

· Heat the empty device for approx. 10 minutes, the slight smoke and

odor that will probably be produced is completely harmless. This is only
protective oil, which was applied during production. Ensure good
ventilation of the room during this period!

Care instructions for the stone

Due to natural conditions, there may be variations in the color and structure
of the stone. This is not a defect nor does it adversely affect the function.
On the contrary, this emphasizes the fact that the stone is a natural product
and that therefore no two stones are the same.

Due to the material properties the stone can have internal stresses. These
could lead to cracks or even breakage of the stone if the temperature is
changed too quickly. This can be largely avoided by observing the
following one-time procedure. This will increase the stability of the stone
and relieve the internal stresses. Nonetheless, small cracks can appear
in the stone during this procedure or during later use, which do not have
an adverse effect on the function. Furthermore, the stone will probably
discolor during this procedure and later use. Stones with small cracks
and discoloration are therefore excluded from the warranty and from
replacement.
