10. SALINE CHLORINATOR
Congratulations on your choice of the KRIPSOL saline chlorinator, model: KLS.
Your chlorinator has been
manufactured in accordance with KRIPSOL’s strictest
specifications, and with correct use and maintenance, will provide adequate chlorination of any type
of swimming pool under normal conditions of use.
10.1 TECHNICAL DETAILS
Two versions of this unit exist: one with a production of 20 g/h (model KLS20), and the other
with a production of 30 g/h (model KLS30).
This unit is multivoltage and multifrequency, such that it can be powered from either a 50 Hz
or 60 Hz source at any voltage in the range from 100 to 250 V.

10.2 SAFETY NOTES
This device is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensorial or mental capacities, or who lacks the necessary experience or knowledge, unless they
have been supervised and instructed on the use of the device by a person responsible for its safety.
This device is not a toy and children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play
with it.
10.3 GENERAL POINTS
Please read these instructions carefully so as to understand the capabilities, functioning and
correct maintenance of your KRIPSOL chlorinator.
PREPARING THE WATER IN YOUR SWIMMING POOL
The water will be clean and transparent if its analysis produces the following results:
Chlorine
0.6-1.2 mg/l
pH 7.2-7.6 Glass-fibre pools 6.8-7.0
T.A. (Alkalinity) 60-100 p.p.m.
Salt 5-6 g/l
Water hardness 100-200 p.p.m.
The stability of the water depends on the relationship between pH, hardness, alkalinity,
dissolved solids and temperature. We recommend that you balance the water in the pool before
connecting your chlorinator.
