9.3

Service the Device

The device is designed for long operating times with minimal servicing. We recommend servicing

the device every 5,000 operating hours.

The device’s display indicates when the device must be serviced. See 8.6.4.
Servicing the device can only be carried out while the device is switched off. To do this, switch off the

device as outlined in section 8.4, and pull out the power plug.

Servicing includes the following:



Visual inspection of the filter device for possible damage



Cleaning and disinfecting the device from the outside and, if necessary, from the inside with

suitable disinfectants

Changing the Activated Carbon

Shut down the device. See section 8.4.



Loosen the 4 screws on the broad multiplex outlet. See section 3.



Then carefully remove the multiplex outlet and set it aside.
