Operating principle

The INFRAcontrol motion sensors are passive-infrared

motion sensor. The sensors of the INFRAcontrol motion sensor

can detect and evaluate invisible heat rays of moving bodies

(humans, animals, etc.), and convert them electronically

switching processes. However, heat rays cannot penetrate

obstacles, such as walls, glass panes, etc. This must

be taken into consideration when selecting a suitable

installation location. If possible, the motion sensor should be

installed so that it is protected against direct sunlight in order

to prevent unwanted switching processes.
