LEVELLING
Check that the movable bulkhead (2) with the graduated knob (6) in
“0” position is aligned to the blade.
If it is not aligned act on the feet (12) unscrewing or screwing the right
one.
CAUTION
• The circuit of the electrical outlet must have at least a 16A fuse. The
plug must be connected to a socket without using power strips or ex-
tension cords.
• Position the device in such a way as to have immediate access to the
socket and easy unplugging of the equipment.
• Before using the appliance, ensure that:
- it is connected to a single, earthed socket
- the basket is correctly positioned
- there is nothing impeding the movement of the basket, with no objects
on the tray
- the pressure handle can be raised and lowered
- nothing obstructs the movement of the pressure handle
- the sharpening unit has been correctly positioned in the device and
can be removed without any problems
Do not allow the machine to run on empty without foodstuff to be sliced.
Never operate the unit with wet or damp hands.
Keep your hands as far away from the blade as possible during shar-
pening operation.
To avoid overheating of the engine, do not use the unit for more than
15 minutes continuously. After a five minute pause, resume use.
If the motor starts to block when cutting very dry products, pull the
basket back to prevent the motor from overheating. Shortly after, you
can then resume cutting.
The motor may block when cutting very hard products. It is thus advi-
sable to pull back the basket to prevent the engine from overheating.
Switch the device back on only after the sharpening unit has been fit-
ted!
• There is a micro switch on the knife guard blockage knob (9), when
the knob is turned off, the machine will stop working automatically. It
ensures the safety of user. Please see below picture.
