4. General Safety Instructions for IT Equipment  

V Panel Express – User’s Guide (V1.01) 

 

❏

 

The device must be turned off and disconnected from the main power source, before installation and removal of any 
PCI and CompactFlash™ cards. 

❏

 

The mounting and operation of the V Panel Express is the vertical position with the interfaces downwards. 

❏

 

Only original accessories approved by Kontron Europe may be used. 

❏

 

The DC-input must fulfill SELV requirements of EN60950-1 standard. 

❏

 

It must be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible, 

•

 if the device has visible damage or 

•

 if the device no longer functions. 

In these cases the device must be shut down and secured against unintentional operation.
