First start-up instructions
Before the machine is used the first time, the following
must be checked:
1. Check that the belt tension is correct (see the para-
graph “Maintenance”).
2. Make sure that all bolts are tightened. Retighten the
bolts after the first day of operation.
3. Check the air pressure of the tires. It must be 30 psi
(2.1 bar).
4. Connect the suction blower to the tractor and check
that the PTO shaft has the correct length (you may
see the instructions supplied together with the PTO
shaft). Be careful when raising a blower mounted in
the triangle hitch of the tractor for the first time. By
raising the blower, the PTO shaft is telescoped and
if the shaft has not been shortened sufficiently, this
may cause severe damage to blower and tractor.
Hook-up and Transporting
When moving the trailer mounted suction blower from
one site to another, swing in the cyclone for transport
and lower it so that it is locked in the saddle.
Be awere of the regulations concerning farm
machinery transport.
Hook-up
Shut off the tractor before hook-up.
If required, the height of the blower draw bar can be
adjusted on the trailer mounted model by turning the
wheel arms.
First attach the PTO shaft to the tractor. Remove
the belt guard and move the main pulley to align the
splines. Attach the PTO shaft to the blower and fix
the safety guard with the chains to prevent rotation.
Reattach the belt guard.
When moving belt drives by hand, keep hands flat
and on top of the belts.
Raise the jack of the draw bar on the trailer mounted
model and turn it into horizontal position.
It is recommended that the drawbar jack be moved to
the loading boom position to keep the blower stable
during operation. This also grounds the machine and
avoids build up of static electricity.
Brake the tractor, stop the motor and remove the
ignition key, so that the suction blower cannot be
started by mistake, while the PTO shaft is connected.
