Design, manufacture and mount the equipment required for the transducer
installation principle.We recommend using KM designed mounting plates or pods
whenever possible.

Note
The risk of galvanic corrosion must be taken into account in the design of the
mounting structure. Periodic inspection of the mounting screws and use of
sacrificial anodes will be required in a permanent installation.

Mount the transducers.

Do a dimensional survey to determine the necessary position and angle
measurements of the transducer and the relevant sensors.
The information provided by the dimensional survey is entered into the EM 2040
MKII software as installation parameters.

Lay the transducer cables from the transducers to the Processing Unit.

If your vessel will operate in waters with a lot of marine growth, consider applying
a thin layer of anti-fouling paint to the transducer face.
Marine growth (biological fouling) on the transducer face reduces the performance.
We recommend that you paint the transducer face immediately after installation,
and then again as often as required to maintain the protection.
