The transmit fans may be electronically stabilised for pitch and yaw movements in
order to always point vertically. Pitch, yaw, heave and the applied stabilisation are
fully taken into account when calculating sounding depths and positions.

The receive beams are electronically stabilised for roll. In the near field the receive
beams are dynamically focused to maintain angular resolution even at very short
ranges.
