Method for checking function of accumulators

CAUTION

When performing the inspection, check that there is no person or obstacle in the surrounding area.

Replace the accumulators every 2 years or every 4000 hours, whichever comes sooner.
Check the nitrogen gas charge pressure as follows.
1.

Stop the machine on a firm and level place.

Hold the work equipment in the maximum reach posture
(arm fully out, bucket fully dumped) at height 1.5 m from
the ground.

Perform the following procedure within 15 seconds.

REMARK

After the engine stops, the accumulators pressure de-
creases gradually. You can check only just after the engine
stops.

1) Keep the work equipment at the maximum reach, turn

the starting switch to OFF position (A), and stop the
engine.

2) Turn the starting switch to ON position (B).

3) Set the lock lever to FREE position (F).
