Check that lock lever is at FREE position (F).

4.

Check that the outriggers or the blade have been raised
and that the work equipment are raised from the ground by
at least 40-50 cm.

5.

Check that the work brake is disengaged. For details, see
“BRAKES PEDAL (3-106)”

6.

Check that the axle lock is deactivated. For details, see
“AXLE LOCK SWITCH (3-94)”

7.

Check that the control levers are in neutral position.

8.

Select the slow or fast gearbox speed with buttons (1). For details, see “SWITCH FOR INCREASING
TRAVEL SPEED (3-48)” and “TRAVEL SPEED REDUCTION SWITCH (3-50)”.
Slow speed: to be used when it is necessary to move the machine with precision; the speed is limited to 4
km/h.
Low speed: to be used when working on uneven terrain, on steep slopes; the speed is limited to 10 km/h.
High speed: to be used when travelling on roads.

9.

Select the driving direction with the switch on the right joy-
stick (2). (For detail, see “F/N/R SWITCH (3-95)”).

10. Check that the parking brake is disengaged. For details,

see “PARKING BRAKE SWITCH (3-95)”

11. Gradually operate the travel pedal (4). Check that the trav-

el alarm works properly. If the alarm does not sound, con-
tact the Komatsu Dealer, who will carry out all the neces-
sary repair operations.
