Check the DEF level gauge on the machine monitor.

After checking, turn the starting switch back to OFF posi-
tion (A).
4.
Check that the engine is stopped.
5.
If DEF is insufficient, add it.
1) Open DEF tank filler port cover (1).
For the opening and closing method of the cover, see
“METHOD FOR OPENING AND CLOSING DEF
TANK FILLER PORT COVER”.
2) Turn the DEF tank filler port cap (2) counterclockwise
(O) and open it.
Direction of (O): Open
Direction of (C): Close
3) While watching sight gauge (3), add DEF through filler
port (2) until float (4) reaches F line (5).
Line (6) in the sight gauge indicates approximately 5 ℓ
{1.32 U.S.Gal} below F line, and line (7) indicates ap-
proximately 10 ℓ {2.64 U.S.Gal} below F line.
Line (7) is the adding line when DEF may freeze in
cold weather.
4) Close the DEF tank filler port cap (2) by turning it clockwise (C).
