COARSE ADJUSTMENT OF THE LASER BEAM
Position the laser transmitter (S-unit by default) as close to first bore as possible. Place the receiver
(M-unit by default) at the closest position to the transmitter (first bore) with the fixture probe at 6 o’clock
(bottom side). Locate the approximate centre of the bore using a tape measure and place the receiver at
this centre. Adjust the position of laser transmitter so the laser beam hits approximately centre of the
target of receiver. Look to beam position indicator on the display. After that move receiver to the last bore,
if this bore has another diameter than first adjust receiver position to the approximate centre of the bore.
Adjust the angle of the laser beam using adjustment screws on transmitter, so the laser beam hits
approximately centre of the target of receiver. Move receiver to the first measurement point. Check that is
appropriate plane no. selected on the display.
If laser beam is far from the centre of the target, then repeat adjustment procedure.
Coarse adjustment should be performed only once.
TAKE, REVIEW AND REPLACE MEASURE
To take measure press
. Stored measure will be showed on the stored measures indicator.
Be aware of the following conditions:
if tilt indicator is yellow – current transducer tilt not acceptable(minimum angle turn(about 10 degrees)
may be violated). If manual angle input is used yellow also indicates angle not entered (pointer absent in
this case).
not less than three measures should be stored to calculate result. Store as many measurements as
possible(up to 36), for the best result accuracy
the minimum plane measure span cannot be less than 170 degrees. The red square at the upper right
corner of the stored measures indicator means plane measure span is not acceptable (low)
For review stored measures use left and right arrow keys. For replace selected measure press
,
confirmation dialog appears press “Yes”.
Yellow means tilt not
acceptable, turn fixture position
over 10 degrees from already
stored
red square means plane
measure span not
acceptable(lower than 170
degrees)
Despite three
measures are all
taken the result is
not available
because of not
acceptable span
(too low)
