2. Install the Rough Plumbing
NOTE:
Provide access to all plumbing connections to simplify future maintenance. Include access at the
back of the plumbing wall whenever possible.
NOTE: Locate the drain before the bath is installed. Install the overflow and drain according to the
manufacturer’s instructions. Refer to the
″
Roughing-In
″
section to locate the drain line and trap.
Locate the rough plumbing for the drain according to the roughing-in dimensions.
Position the water supply pipes according to the roughing-in information. Cap the supplies and
check for leaks.
Strap the supply connections to the stud framing.
Install the shower valving according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Do not install the trim at
this time.
