10. Complete the Installation
NOTICE:
Follow the steps that apply to your installation.
NOTICE:
When measuring and cutting the gap panel, take into account the thickness of the gap panel
flanges.
NOTICE:
There are two flange styles provided with this bath. Use the rounded flanges against rounded
bath or gap panel edges. Use the slotted flanges against cut gap panel edges.
Secure the leveling feet to the floor with screws or metal strapping material.
Reinforce the left and right apron edges with small pieces of blocking secured to the alcove walls.
Measure and mark the outside edges of the gap panel so it will fit between the bath and the walls.
Use a circular saw with a masonry blade to carefully cut the gap panel at the marked lines.
Measure, mark, and cut the flange sections, using miter cuts for the corner joints. The flanges will
need a relief notch cut in the bottom for a good corner joint.
Verify that the gap panel, with dry-fit flanges attached, fits correctly alongside the bath rim before
proceeding.
Apply a bead of clear silicone sealant into any slotted flanges, and firmly press the slotted flanges
onto the gap panel.
Carefully install the gap panel into place.
Apply a bead of silicone sealant to any rounded flanges, and carefully press them into the gap along
the back or end walls.
Apply a bead of silicone sealant to all remaining gap panel seams.
Wipe away any excess silicone sealant.
