7. Install Gap Panel Supports
NOTICE:
Complete these steps only if you will use the provided gap panel to fill a gap between the bath
rim and the walls.
Draw a line on the back and drain-end alcove walls, even with the top of the bath rim.
Measure the thickness of the gap panel, then measure and mark this distance underneath the first
set of lines drawn on the walls. You will use this bottom set of lines to position 2x4 support pieces.
Cut two straight pieces of 2x4 lumber, one to fit along the back wall and another along the drain
end wall.
Using a fastening method appropriate for the wall and framing materials, secure the 2x4’s firmly in
place at the bottom set of pencil lines.
8. Make the Final Connections
NOTE:
Make sure the air actuator tubing is securely attached to the pump and the blower, and is not
kinked or damaged.
Cut the pump banding straps to prevent excessive vibration noise during whirlpool operation.
Make the final water supply and drain line connections.
Turn on the water supplies, and check for leakage. Repair as needed.
Make sure the door seal is free of dirt and debris.
Close and latch the door.
Close the bath drain.
Fill the bath to the overflow, and check for leaks.
Drain the bath.
IMPORTANT!
Use a separate, dedicated outlet for the in-line heater. Follow the instructions below to
avoid overloaded/tripped circuits.
Plug the in-line heater into the dedicated outlet, and plug the pump and blower/heated surface into
the duplex outlet.
