Required Hardware
Computer
An 80386 or higher computer that has: a minimum of 8 megabytes (MB)
random access memory (RAM) (32 MB RAM or more is recommended for
fastest scan times) that can operate Windows 3.1; a minimum of 25 MB of
free space on its hard disk; a SCSI port (see below).
Display
VGA or higher-resolution Windows-compatible display, minimum
640 x 480 pixel screen size. A high-quality color monitor displays the best
images. (The quality of the scan is not affected by the monitor in use.)
Display Card (Graphics Adapter)
Use the appropriate display card for the display in use; we recommend a
16-bit or 24-bit display card. A 16-bit card can display up to 32,768 or
65,536 colors depending on the card, while a 24-bit card can display
more than 16.7 million colors.
NOTE: The display card must have a Windows-compatible driver.
SCSI Interface
ASPI (Advanced SCSI Programming Interface) Windows host adapter such
as those from Adaptec, Inc. running EZ-SCSI 4.01 or later.
