SAFETY

  f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair, clothing

and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry or long hair can be

    caught in moving parts.
  g) If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection

facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used. Use of dust collection

    can reduce dust-related hazards.

4) ADDITIONAL SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES:

ALWAYS

use safety glasses. Everyday eyeglasses are NOT safety glasses. Also use

face or dust mask if cutting operation is dusty.

ALWAYS WEAR CERTIFIED SAFETY

EQUIPMENT:

•  ANSI Z87.1 eye protection (CAN/CSA Z94.3),

•  ANSI S12.6 (S3.19) hearing protection,

•  NIOSH/OSHA/MSHA respiratory protection.

•   Power tool is not insulated. Fastners contacting a "live" wire will make the power

tool "live" and could give the operator an electric shock

•  Use clamps or other practical way to secure and support the workpiece to a stable

platform. Holding the work by hand or against your body is unstable and may lead

  to loss of control.

•  Wear safety goggles or other eye protection. Hammering and drilling operations

cause chips to fly. Flying particles can cause permanent eye damage.

•  Accessories and tools get hot during operation. Wear gloves when touching them.

•  Air vents often cover moving parts and should be avoided. Loose clothes, jewelry

or long hair can be caught in moving parts.

•  Do not operate this tool for long periods of time. Vibration caused by tool action

may be harmful to your hands and arms. Use gloves to provide extra cushion and

limit exposure by taking frequent rest periods.

WARNING

: Some dust created by power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling, and

other construction activities contains chemicals known to the State of California to

cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. Some examples of these

chemicals are:

  •  lead from lead-based paints,

  •   crystalline silica from bricks and cement and other masonry products, and

  •  arsenic and chromium from chemically-treated lumber.
