7) Connect saw plug to a power source, press the plunge lock/release button,
press the trigger and wait for blade to come up to speed, plunge the blade
down and gently move the saw along the track.
Warning!
Do not force the saw during a cut, this could cause the saw motor to overheat, and it greatly increases the risks of kickbacks which
could cause severe personal injury. Never move the saw backwards while cutting!
Operation guideline- Bevel cuts
Bevel cuts are made in the same manner as normal cuts, except the blade angle is set between 0
0
to 48
0
. A bevel cut made at an angle to the
edge of a workpiece is called a compound miter.
1) To set the blade at a bevel angle, see section “Angled cuts- Adjusting bevel angle”.
2) Keep in mind that making bevel cuts using an optional 50” track will alter the edge of the rubber strip.
3) Before making final bevel cuts, it is highly recommended to make test cuts to make sure of the accuracy of your settings.
Operation guideline- Plunge cuts
Plunge cuts are cuts that are made on the inside of a workpiece, instead of starting from one end of the workpiece to the other.
1) Set the mode selector to “Free plunge action mode (general cuts) (B) Fig.4”.
2) Set the blade plunge cut depth.
3) Make sure the bevel angle is set to “0”.
4) This saw has markers (A) Fig.18 on the base which show exactly where the front and back of the blade will cut when plunged downwards.
Position the saw where you would like on your workpiece to make your cut.
5) Press and hold the plunge lock/release button, press the trigger to start the saw. Once the blade has reached its full speed, plunge the blade
downwards until it reaches the max plunge depth set previously. Move the saw along the cut line.
6) Release the trigger, wait for the blade to come to a complete stop.
Operation guideline- Flush cuts
Flush cuts are cuts that are made close to a wall. Minimum distance between the cut line and the wall is 11/16” from the wall.
1) Set the mode selector to “Scribe cut mode” (C) Fig.4, or “Free plunge action mode (general cuts) (B) Fig.4”.
2) Make sure the bevel angle is set to “0”.
3) If using the “Free plunge action mode”, set the desired plunge depth.
4) If using the “Scribe mode”, the plunge depth is already set to 0.1” (2.5mm).
5) Press and hold the plunge lock/release button, press the trigger to start the saw. Once the blade has reached its full speed, plunge the blade
downwards until it reaches the max plunge depth set previously. Move the saw along the cut line.
