Set center frequency and span to
5 GHz.

Select the
Frequency
panel or press
the
FREQ
hard key.

In the
Center Frequency
control, enter
79.0 GHz.

In the
Span
control enter the
maximum span, 1 GHz.
The maximum span allowable depends
on the N9041B bandwidth option.

Set full range and mechanical
attenuation to 0 dB.

Select the
Amplitude
panel or press
the
AMPTD
key.

Select the
Attenuation
tab and tap the
Full Range Atten
control. Enter 0 dB
using the soft numeric keypad.

Tap the
Mech Atten
control and enter
0 dB with the soft numeric keypad.
Or set the attenuation level to ensure the
input signal does not exceed mixer limit.

Switch the output to the rear external
wideband IF output connector.
a
Select the
Input/Output
panel.

Choose the
Output
Tab and toggle the
Ext IF Out
switch to
On
.
No signal will appear on the SA screen
because the signal has been diverted to
the rear connector.
A warning message will appear on the
Spectrum Analyzer as shown in
