[MIDI] connectors.
-
111B
[IN1]: input port, to be connected to an external MIDI unit used to play
Legend Exp. Connect this port
to the MIDI OUT port of a transmitting device (e.g. a sequencer).
112B
-
113B
[OUT/THRU]: these MIDI data connectors transmit the MIDI data generated by the
Legend Exp. If the
Soft Thru function is active (see par.7.4), this connector transmits the data received from the [IN1],
[IN2/PEDALS] and [USB TO HOST] ports. This function can be used to connect multiple MIDI devices
(e.g. to connect a MIDI keyboard to the
Legend Exp and send the signal to an external expander).
Connect this port to the MIDI input of the receiving device.
-
114B
[IN2/PEDALS]: input port, to be connected to an external MIDI unit used to play
Legend Exp and to
connect the optional Viscount pedalboard or any other MIDI pedalboard.
For more information about the
Legend Exp MIDI interface, refer to par. 6.2 and MIDI Informations.

[AUDIO] jack connectors.
-
117B
[PEDALS]: this line output only transmits the signal from the Pedals section. To enable this output
activate the
PEDALS DIRECT
function
as described in par. 5.4. When the function is deactivated, the
signal form the Pedals section is transmitted through the other outputs instead, and the [PEDALS] output
is disabled.
-
118B
[PHONES]: stereo output for connecting a set of headphones. The port sends out the instrument's
general signal.
-
119B
[LEFT] e [RIGHT]: line outputs; use to connect the instrument to external audio devices (amplified
speakers, mixers, amplifiers); they transmit the instrument's general signal.
When used with stereo systems, connect the [LEFT] output to the left channel and the [RIGHT] output to
the right channel. When using a monophonic system, any of the two outputs ([LEFT] or [RIGHT]) can be
connected indistinctly; however, doing so will make it impossible to hear the stereophonic effect
generated by the Rotary simulation: it is only possible to hear the connected audio channel. Therefore
this is not recommended.

The applications Legend Editor and Viscount Legend Update can be downloaded from www.viscountinstruments.com.
NB
Always use the [IN2/PEDALS] connector with the optional Viscount pedalboard.
WARNINGS ON THE USE OF SPEAKERS
-
Always perform the connection while both instrument and speakers are switched off. Then first switch on the
instrument and later the speakers.
-
The use of balanced cables is recommended for connecting the [LEFT], [RIGHT] and [PEDALS]
