When an alternating current electromagnet is brought near iron, the
number of magnetic flux lines passing through the coil and the voltage
at both ends of the coil changes.
This change is read as the coating thickness.

High-Frequency Format
LH-200C, LZ-200C
When an induction coil through which a fixed high-frequency current
is passing is brought near metal, an eddy current is produced above
the metal surface. This eddy current changes depending on the
distance between the surface on the metal and the induction coil.
This change is read as the coating thickness.
