4. Functional test
A test message should be sent to test the modem‘s function.
The following settings must be made:

Select the „maintenance“ item

Confirm by pressing „OK“
Manual mode

Confirm by pressing „OK“

5. Possible fault causes
Diodes flashing:
Flashing quickly
- SIM card not inserted
- PIN authentication not successful
- Search for GSM network provider under way
Repeated flashing
- GSM network provider OK, currently no data connection
If no data connection / network connection, the reception
signal may be too weak. In this case, a magnetic base aerial
with optional extension cable can be retrofitted and used instead
of the standard aerial.

2. Actuation of an operating key: no key sounds, background lighting switches on for 1 minute.
3. Selected menu items are highlighted (by reversed colours) and shown by a pictogram
4. Movement in the menu is by means of the cursor UP and DOWN keys, as well as OK for confirmation and ESC for one
step/menu item back
X or 0 = make entry when place holder is flashing
UP / DOWN keys = change value
ESC / OK key = change position
After the last position has been entered, jump to actuation window
5. If several menu items are shown, the scroll function (cursor keys) can be used to scroll up and down.
6. Menu headings are always shown in the first line
7. The last line of the display field is reserved for faults, messages and events
(A third category – message – is added to faults and events.)
8. From 16 characters onwards, the text is shown as running text. (Selected field + corresponding character length
activates the running text)
9. If no keys are pressed for 1 minute, the device returns to the system info menu item.
10. When a password has been entered, this is cleared as long as the display lighting is illuminated.
6. Error
When an error occurs this can easily be confirmed by SMS. A SMS with empty cookware or any content in response send
back.
