L. DCS modulation balance
(1) Press the [LAM P] or [M ONI] key on the transceiver to display
“ DCS.BAL” on the LCD. Press the [F] key and then the
[PTT] key repeatedly to turns the “

(2) When the [PTT] key is pressed to enable transmit mode, a
100Hz square w avef orm is int ernally generat ed and
modulated.
(3) While observing the w aveforms on the oscilloscope, turn
the semi-fixed volume (VR6) to adjust the DCS modulation
w aveform to a square w aveform.
(4) When the DCS modulation w aveform becomes a square
w aveform, release the [PTT] key.
M .Tone deviat ion (Low er lim it frequency, cent er
frequency, upper limit frequency)

Tone deviation (Low er limit frequency)
(1) Press the [LAM P] or [M ONI] key on the transceiver to display
“ DVL” on the LCD.
In this case, the “
” icon appears. Press the [F] key and
then the [PTT] key repeatedly to turn the “
” icon ON.
The current adjustment value is displayed at the low er digits
of t he f requency display, and t he value st ored in t he
EEPROM is displayed on the memory channel number
display.
(2) Press the [VFO], [M R] or [CALL] key to sw itch to the
frequency display.
(3) Turn the encoder to display the low er limit frequency on
the LCD.
(4) Press the [CALL] key to sw itch to the adjustment display.
(5) When the [PTT] key is pressed to enable transmit mode, a
preset tone frequency (151.4Hz) is internally generated and
modulated.
(6) Turn the encoder to change the current adjustment value
and adjust tone deviation.
(7) Press the [M ENU] key to w rite the current adjustment value
into the EEPROM .
