Transport direction indicators
The

3
indicators indicate the current direc-
tion in w hich the tape advances w hen playback or
recording is started automatically by the easy op-
eration function, etc. This direction is the direction
stored in memory w hen the tape w as last stopped.
(To change the direction, press the key for the de-
sired playback direction, and then press the

key.)
The Dolby NR system minimizes the hiss noise
heard w hen playing tape.
