Verifying the configuration
The front-panel LEDs alert you if the DataSMART T3/E3 IDSU is experiencing abnormal
conditions. The following figures show the LEDs during normal and abnormal conditions.

Off: unit is not receiving
power.
Yellow: data being
transmitted by DTE.
Yellow: data being
received by DTE.
Yellow: IDSU ready
to transmit/receive.
Yellow: DTE ready
to transmit/receive.
Green: Valid data at
the network interface. Off: no alarms
or error conditions. Always off. Off: no alarm
Yellow: remote loopback set code
being sent.
Yellow, flashing: remote loopback
may be set, but not verified.
Off: no remote loopback.
Yellow: internal loopback
is set.
Yellow, flashing: remote
loopback is set and verified.
Off: no loopback is set.

Red: unit is powered but
not fully operational
(self-test failed).
Red: alarm condition exists.
Green: ACO switch has been
activated, but alarm condition
still exists.
Red: code violation.
Off: no transmit (TxD),
receive (RxD) data flow.
Off: IDSU (CV), DTE (TA) not
ready to receive or transmit data.
Red: Loss of signal.
Red: Out of frame.
Red: AIS being
received.
Yellow: Yellow alarm
being received.
Yellow, flashing: Yellow
being transmitted.
