Set the baud rate, parity, data and stop bits correctly on the next IDSU, as specified
on
page 17 .
2 Connect the power cord and power on the unit, as specified on page 22 .
3 Press the Enter key. This logs you into the next unit and brings up its Main menu.
4 Enter the DE command to disable echo.
5 Enter the command SA:xx:yy:zzz to set the unit’s daisy-chain address. The address
must be unique. Do not use address 00:00:000 (this is the default address of all
the units).
xx = 0 - 15
yy = 0 - 15
zzz = 0 - 255
6 Enter the DTE command to switch the alarm message port from the DCE port to the
DTE port.

Log out (enter <Ctrl-D>).

Disconnect the ASCII terminal.

Connect the DTE port of the unit to the DCE port of the last unit you set up.
Repeat procedure 2 for each IDSU you wish to connect to the daisy-chain.
