7.1
Protection during the operation
During recharging it is
recommended to completely extract the cable from the
KeContact R10
to get the maximum performance from your wallbox (Max 16A - 11kW).
Even when connected the cable can be pulled out of the KeContact R10 the cable reel
can be rotated by 20 degree to facilitate cable pulling out.
The device is equipped with a lock function. Approximately every 50 cm the lock fun

ction is active (clicking noise) so the cable cannot roll up automatically and thereby is
not in tension.
Caution
When using the cable that is not fully unrolled, it is recommended to reduce the char

ging power to less than or equal to

to avoid possible overheating
Do not jerky the cable because the KeContact R10 can be damaged.
Briefly pulling on the cable releases the locking. A cable brake integrated in the
KeContact R10 serves to roll up the cable gently and to not snatch the connector out of
the user’s hands when releasing the locking function unintentionally.
7.2
Warning Sticker
In order to clearly show potential hazard, a yellow warning sticker recommend to not
remove any part from the reel.
One sticker is installed on brake and warn to not remove it.
