9.1.5.2 Tube head seasoning
About this task
Follow these steps to perform tube head seasoning.
Steps
1. Select User > 1500 Testing Routines > 1520 Tube Head Seasoning.
This option allows you to warm up the X-ray tube, i.e. run a tube head
seasoning process. This is necessary if the X-ray unit has not been used
for a week or more and / or if you receive error message E332 (Severe
arcing across X-ray tube).
2. Select the Start button.
3. Move to a protected area.
4. Press the exposure button when the word
Ready
appears.
You can press and hold down the exposure button for the whole duration
of the process or remove your thumb from the exposure button when the
word
Wait
appears. Note that the seasoning process will take several
minutes. After a successful process, the message
OK
is shown.
5. Select the green check mark button.
NOTE
Contact your service technician for help if error message E332 (Severe
arcing across X-ray tube) reappears after a successful seasoning
process.
