SATEXPERT Using this automatic satellite search function it is pos-
sible to identify the received signal (Astra, HotBird, etc)
based on the satellite fingerprint recognition.
ON During the spectrum analysis of a satellite signal,
the meter compares the fingerprint with a data-
base-compatible configuration and shows the
name and the exact azimuth of the pointed satel-
lite.
OFF No comparison is carried out.

PLS CONFIGURATION defines and configures up to 10 different PLS ( Physi-
cal Layer Scrambling
) values to be used to decrypt
the physical layer of a satellite multi-stream signal in
order to demodulate the contained ISI and decode the
embedded services.
To edit the PLS configuration:

Tap PLS CONFIGURATION or press the navigation
wheel.

A menu opens. In this menu it is possible to edit
the PLS mode (by turning the navigation wheel
or tapping the values) and the PLS entry values
1 – 10 (using the numeric keyboard) as well as
to add a PLS entry or delete it:
PLS modes:
ZERO No PLS required
PLS 1 – 10 A special PLS value is required.
ROUND The meter determines automatically
which of the configured PLS is the
right one to decrypt the S2 signal and
to demodulate it.
