II.2.

POWER SUPPLY MODULE

The SPS224 Power Supply Module, including SPS224CR Power Card and ring
transformer, is installed in a metal case.

SPS224 comes installed in the system cabinet. However, if it is necessary to take
out SPS224 from the system cabinet, the mains and battery ON/OFF switches must
be turned off, the SPS224 fixing screw on the top front part of the system rack must
be loosened and the power rack must be pulled out.

To insert SPS224 back in the system cabinet, the metal roads on the power rack
must be placed properly to the metal slots on the rightmost part of the cabinet and
then SPS224 must be pushed inside the cabinet, so that the connector at the back
of the power rack fits the one on the backplane. Then the SPS224 fixing screw must
be fastened.

The following figure is to give a brief idea about the installation of SPS224.
