Important
Be careful to ensure that the fuel
in the filter does not drain com-
pletely out. If it does, remove it
(see "Oil filter cartridge replace-
ment"), fill it manually and then re-
peat the bleeding operation.
Warning - Caution
Do not throw away any polluting ma-
terial in the environment. Carry out
their disposal in compliance with
the relevant legislation in force.
– Screw again the plug
(A)
.
8 -When an alarm signal (visual and/or
acoustic) is triggered by the control pan-
el this indicates that there is a malfunc-
tion of some kind.
In the presence of faults, the electron-
ic management system sets the en-
gine to operate in emergency mode,
with automatic limitation of perform-
ance.
In these conditions the indicator light
(MIL)
will light up and the cause
to be dealt with may be malfunction
of the engine or the antiparticulate fil-
ter.
To solve the problem, proceed as indi-
cated.
– Turn off the engine.
– Consult chapter "Informazioni sui
guasti" for the action to be taken and
details of how to deal with the causes
that triggered the state of emergency.
Warning - Caution
Do not continue to use the engine when
the MIL is on. If the indicator lights up
due to a malfunction in the antiparticula-
te filter, there may be a risk of fire.
Do not attempt to disconnect the MIL in-
dicator sensor to eliminate the signal.
VM motors will not be liable in any way in
the event of economic damage or risks
for the health and safety of persons.
Important
For further information, please consult
the documentation provided by the man-
ufacturer of the vehicle/device in which
the engine is installed.
The engine performance is affected by fuel
temperature, the temperature and relative
humidity of incoming air and altitude.
When using the engine at high altitudes and
high air and fuel temperatures, the output is
reduced.
